ImPACT Testing
ImPACT testing is a computerized baseline concussion tool used in assisting in managing and diagnosing concussions. All athletes must have a valid baseline test to be able to compete in the first scrimmage of the season. Every 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th grade student, transfer, new to athletics or sustained a concussion in the previous year will retake a new baseline test.
Baseline ImPACT testing is to be completed at home in a quiet environment without the assistance of others.
Student-athletes must email nicole-rizzo@esasd.net to inquire about their ImPACT testing status. Inquiries will receive the instructions to complete the ImPACT testing baseline if needed.
This test is not a pass/fail, however there are numerous reasons that an athlete’s test might get flagged. If the test is flagged, a retake under the supervision of the Athletic Training Staff is required. Please contact one of our Athletic Trainers with questions.
